A Bicester supermarket assistant is still in shock after winning more than ₤61 000 while playing bingo at the Gala Club in ozone Retail Park, Oxford. The fifty three year old woman only started playing bingo a year ago. She and her husband joined to get a break from caring for her sick mother. They both found that they enjoyed playing bingo and continued to play after her mother sadly passed away.
They are very happy that they continued to play because she won ₤60 000 in the National Bingo Game, ₤1 759 in the Regional Game and a mean ₤150 for a house prize. She called bingo in forty four numbers and though she had won the house prize. The woman and her husband have three children and is going to use the money to pay off some bills and in celebration of the win, her and her husband want to take a holiday. They are thinking about going to Las Vegas. She added that she still can’t believe she won the National Bingo prize and will only really believe that it is all true once she has the cheque in her hands.
Isn’t it strange, but all National Bingo winners have the same reaction, they all believe that they couldn’t possibly have won, until they receive the cheque. It doesn’t seem to matter that they have been given written confirmation by the bingo club, they have to have the cheque. Still, I suppose a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
