Gala Bingo have made no bones about the fact that they have taken on an eighteen month long campaign to raise funds for the Sue Ryder charity. The intention of the fund raising campaign is to raise as much as ₤1 million during the funds drive period. Staff from Gala bingo clubs have taken on all sorts of challenges to raise funds for this very worthy cause.

Although Gala Bingo have been involved in raising funds for charities for a very long time, their efforts in the past have been diversified. This time all the staff at Gala bingo were asked to identify one charitable concern and the outcome of the vote from staff members had Sue Ryder Care as the winner. Su Ryder Care is a concern that takes care of  seriously ill people who suffer from many different illnesses, they also provide support to the families of the sick people.

In the latest fund raising drive Gala Bingo had 136 women taking part in a night walk, they, together with Sainbury’s, the supermarket chain, helped to supply all walk participants with refreshments once they had finished their walk. One of the organizers of the night walk, Pierson Mckenzie described Gala Bingo and Sainbury’s as being great in their support of Sue Ryder Care fund raising events. He said that the event itself was terrific, they had walkers of all ages from thirteen year old girls to an eighty nine year old woman in a wheelchair.
