Gala Bingo have made no bones about the fact that they have taken on an eighteen month long campaign to raise funds for the Sue Ryder charity. The intention of the fund raising campaign is to raise as much as ₤1 million during the funds drive period. Staff from Gala bingo clubs have taken on all sorts of challenges to raise funds for this very worthy cause.

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008Pensioners at the St. Andrews Church Hall in Larkfield had the shock of their lives when a thief burst into their bingo game and ran off with the bag of money they had collected for good causes. More than thirty pensioners were playing bingo at the time and were left reeling by the shock attack. Many were afraid to go home in case the thief was still lurking outside.

Gala Bingo has withdrawn from the National Bingo game and are relying on the High 5 promotion to draw customers to their clubs.
The Tonypandy Judges Bingo Hall Celebrates 100th Birthday
Sunday, September 7th, 2008Next year the Judges Bingo Hall in Tonypandy will be celebrating its 100th birthday and special plans are afoot to celebrate this momentous occasion. The building was erected in 1909 at a cost of ₤6 000, and opened in July by the Duke of Argyll and Princess Louise. It was originally called “The Judge Williams Memorial Hall”. The building was gifted to the people by Lt. Col. Sir Rhys Williams.
