A mother from Cusworth who went to play bingo because her husband went to the pub to watch football, ended up her evening by winning ₤187 000. She says that she still can’t believe it, and wants to keep pinching herself to see if she is awake. She also said that she is still in shock and it is a nice feeling, but she feels sick in her stomach. I think that must be butterflies!
The forty-three year old who wished to remain anonymous was playing at the Gala Bingo Club in Doncaster, she completed a full house in forty-five calls and caught the National bingo prize. When she firs joined the bingo club four years ago, she only did so that she could use the “loo” inside the club, then she found that she actually liked playing bingo. She generally plays on a Tuesday and the odd Thursday. But on the weekend she won, her son was away and her husband was in the pub, so she though she would catch a little light entertainment.
After her win she went to the pub to break the news to her husband, he was already happy because his team had won, and at first he thought she was joking with him, but they both woke up at 2:30 in the morning and could not get back to sleep. They will be using the money to go on a holiday and will have to think hard what to do with the rest.
