People have often said to me that they have no idea what it is about bingo that I find so fascinating, they just have no idea. Often people have the misconception that bingo is a mindless game that is only played by the elderly or people who are not intelligent enough to learn how to play something a little more difficult.
This is quite simply not true, bingo is great fun and one Chemistry student from Manchester Metropolitan University who recently won £33,000 is proof of this.
Steven Rigby, who loves playing bingo, was at his local Buckingham Bingo Club in Didsbury when his luck came in. His evening started when he got a £10 win on a line and then went on to win more than £33 000 in the National Bingo game. This lucky winner is a keen rugby fan and he says that he would love to use some of the money to go and watch the British Lions tour in South Africa, but also, like many bingo players he is keen to share his loot. Steven is keen to assist with a Catholic Church visit to Lourdes for a group of sick people, so he may well be going to put his some of his lucky winnings towards that.
